Working Together
1:1 Retained Coaching Partnerships
Executive & Personal Development
A small number of places for leaders and founders

Strategy Re-think
Feeling Stuck
Reached a Plateau
Seeking Balance
A place to think beyond the day-to-day
Many leaders spend most of their time inside the operational running of the business — decisions, delivery, people, pressure.
What’s often missing is a place to step back from that and think at a different level: about direction, judgement, identity as a leader, and what’s really being asked of you now.
This offer is a 1:1 retained coaching partnership — designed to support both executive leadership and personal development, held for as long as it continues to create value.
How the partnership works
This is not about booking coaching sessions.
It’s about working together over time, with continuity, shared context, and a trusted coaching relationship that can respond as situations evolve.
A retained partnership typically includes:
- A regular coaching rhythm, agreed together
- Space to explore live leadership decisions and personal development edges
- Continuity of context — no need to re-orient each time
- A confidential, reflective space to think clearly and honestly
- A coaching relationship grounded in presence, challenge, and care
For many clients, this becomes a steady reference point as they navigate complexity and change.
The Chart Room — the space I hold for our work
To support this way of working, I’ve created what I call The Chart Room.
The Chart Room is the space I hold for our coaching partnership — a place to step away from operational execution and navigate at a different altitude.
It’s where we:
- Hold the wider picture, not just the next task
- Sense changing conditions rather than react to noise
- Explore direction, trade-offs, and consequences
- Make decisions with greater clarity and confidence
The Chart Room isn’t something you need to “learn” or do.
It’s the environment in which our coaching work is held.
How long does a partnership last?
A retained coaching partnership is held for as long as it continues to be useful.
We begin with curiosity rather than commitment, and review the work as it evolves.
In practice, many partnerships naturally unfold over six to eighteen months, sometimes longer, depending on what a leader is navigating.
Rather than fixing an end date upfront, we check periodically:
- Is this still creating value?
- Is the level of support right for this phase?
- Does the partnership still serve what lies ahead?
When the value is no longer there, the partnership completes naturally.
Opening the partnership well
When a partnership begins — particularly at the start of a new phase or season — I include an extended opening phase.
This typically involves:
- A deeper first coaching conversation to orient the landscape ahead
- Clarifying what matters most now, and what “value” looks like for you
- A little more access early on, while trust and momentum are established
This helps ensure the partnership is well-set from the outset.
Who this way of working suits
This retained coaching partnership tends to suit:
- Founders and senior leaders navigating responsibility, complexity, or transition
- Leaders who value depth, reflection, and honest challenge
- Those who want a thinking partner, not advice or quick fixes
- People open to working at both the executive and personal level
It may be less suited to those seeking short-term, tactical problem-solving.
A limited number of places
I intentionally work with a small number of retained coaching clients at any one time.
This allows me to remain present, responsive, and well-resourced within each partnership.
Availability is therefore limited.
Next step — an exploratory conversation
If this way of working resonates, the next step is a short, exploratory coaching conversation.
This isn’t a sales call.
It’s a chance to step briefly into the space, explore what you’re navigating, and sense whether a retained coaching partnership would be useful now.
No obligation. No pressure.
Just a grounded conversation about fit and value.
